BakkerElkhuizen’s answer is the shape: this unique trapezoid design follows the natural position of your arm and wrist, so that your wrists and arms are then at the same angle as the keyboard rather than being turned to meet it. The reasoning it publishes is the ergonomic point everyone skips: holding your wrist at the right height when typing is important. It must be kept as straight as possible with the keyboard. This keeps the wrist posture neutral and avoids muscle strain. The construction is two layers, not one — soft memory foam cushioning that recovers its original shape over a firm cushioning gel layer, so it gives without bottoming out. The surface has an antibacterial coating, the underside is natural rubber, non-slip, and the rest is made from recycled materials, with the fabric and rubber recyclable.
