Compatibility — check before buying:
Important variant distinction: The Light Base 900 FX Black (BGW71) includes four preinstalled Light Wings 140mm PWM ARGB fans. Three reversed-blade fans are mounted at the side and one standard fan at the rear. Do not confuse this model with the Light Base 900 DX Black (BGW69), which has no preinstalled fans. Hardware limits: maximum graphics-card length is 495mm, CPU cooler height is 190mm and ATX PSU length is 225mm. The top and bottom radiator positions each support up to 420mm, while the side supports up to 360mm. Actual installation depends on radiator thickness, fan placement and surrounding component clearance. ARGB synchronisation: motherboard-controlled lighting requires a compatible 5V ARGB connection. Never connect 5V addressable RGB equipment to an incompatible 12V RGB header. The power supply, motherboard, CPU cooler and graphics card must be purchased separately.

Four preinstalled Light Wings 140mm PWM fans
Three Light Wings Reversed 140mm PWM fans are installed at the side, with one conventional Light Wings 140mm PWM fan at the rear. The reversed-blade side fans draw air into the chassis while presenting their illuminated face through the glass. Their seven airflow-optimised blades are designed to reduce turbulence. The rear fan operates at up to 1500 RPM, while the reversed side fans operate at up to 1300 RPM.
Panoramic glass with 172 integrated LEDs
The glass front and side windows provide a wide view of the system hardware. A 3-metre-long integrated ARGB strip contains 172 LEDs, delivering illumination around the enclosure independently of the four illuminated fans. Lighting effects can be selected using the case ARGB controller button or synchronised through a compatible motherboard connection.
Upright, inverted and horizontal configurations
The repositionable chassis feet allow the Light Base 900 FX to switch between standard upright, inverted upright and horizontal orientations. This provides additional flexibility when choosing where to position the computer and which direction the panoramic windows face. The included graphics-card support holder is designed to accommodate different chassis orientations.
Simultaneous dual 420mm radiator support
Detachable mounting brackets at the top and bottom support radiators up to 420mm simultaneously. An additional radiator up to 360mm can be mounted at the side, while the rear supports up to 140mm. The removable brackets allow radiator and fan assemblies to be prepared outside the chassis. Actual combinations depend on cooler thickness, fans and installed hardware.
Dual-chamber design and backside connectors
The dual-chamber arrangement positions storage drives, the power supply and much of the cable routing behind the main component compartment. The motherboard tray accommodates compatible backside-connector designs, including ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero and Gigabyte Project Stealth. This helps reduce visible cabling when using a supported motherboard.
Integrated fan hubs and USB connectivity
Two integrated ARGB/PWM hubs provide twelve connection positions in total and are located near the upper and lower cooling areas. The external I/O includes one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports and HD audio connectivity. An included flexible graphics-card support holder helps reduce GPU sag, while optional fan positions allow the four supplied fans to be expanded to ten in total.
How many fans are included with the Light Base 900 FX Black?
Four 140mm PWM addressable RGB fans are preinstalled. Three are reversed-blade Light Wings fans at the side intake, and one is a standard Light Wings fan at the rear exhaust. Additional fans can be fitted for a maximum of ten installed case fans.
What is the difference between the Light Base 900 FX and 900 DX?
The Light Base 900 FX Black (BGW71) includes four preinstalled Light Wings 140mm PWM ARGB fans. The Light Base 900 DX Black (BGW69) does not include cooling fans. Both have panoramic glass, integrated 172-LED ARGB lighting and extensive radiator support, but their factory cooling packages are different.
Can I install two 420mm liquid-cooling radiators?
Yes. The top and bottom mounting brackets each support a radiator up to 420mm, and simultaneous installation of two 420mm radiators is supported. The side position also accommodates a radiator up to 360mm. Always check complete radiator, fan and component clearances.
Can the case be inverted or installed horizontally?
Yes. Its relocatable feet allow standard upright, inverted upright and horizontal configurations. The flexible VGA support holder is designed to work with these orientations, helping keep the graphics card supported regardless of the chosen layout.
Does it support ASUS BTF and MSI Project Zero motherboards?
Yes. The case supports compatible backside-connector motherboard designs, including ASUS BTF, MSI Project Zero and Gigabyte Project Stealth. Verify the form factor and rear connector positions of your exact motherboard before purchasing.
Is an RGB controller included?
Yes. The case includes an ARGB controller button and two integrated ARGB/PWM hubs offering twelve connection positions in total. The built-in lighting strip and supported illuminated fans can also be synchronised with a compatible motherboard using the appropriate 5V ARGB connection.
What is the maximum graphics-card length?
The manufacturer specifies graphics-card clearance up to 495mm. Check the exact graphics-card dimensions and allow room for power cables and any nearby cooling hardware. The included VGA support holder can help reduce GPU sag.
Is a power supply or PCIe riser cable included?
The power supply is not included. The case includes graphics-card support holders, but a PCIe riser cable is not listed among the supplied accessories. A suitable riser must be purchased separately if required for vertical GPU installation.
Singular Expert Insight
The main advantage of the Light Base 900 FX Black (BGW71) over the Light Base 900 DX is the supplied cooling package. Four Light Wings 140mm PWM ARGB fans are already installed, with three reversed-blade fans at the side providing intake airflow while presenting their illuminated face through the glass. This arrangement is especially useful for a display-focused gaming build because conventional side intake fans can expose the rear of their frames. The built-in 172-LED strip provides additional lighting independently of the fans. The enclosure also offers significant expansion potential: the four included fans can be expanded to ten, and two 420mm radiators can be mounted simultaneously. Backside-connector motherboard support and the dual-chamber layout further help reduce visible cabling. Before ordering, consider the case's substantial dimensions and weight. At 532 × 327 × 484mm including the feet and 16.8kg empty, it needs considerably more space than a conventional compact ATX tower. The 495mm GPU clearance and 190mm CPU cooler limit are generous, but the selected cooling arrangement still needs to be checked for fit. Choose the FX version if you want the panoramic presentation and large cooling capacity together with a complete factory-installed set of illuminated chassis fans.
