Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE USB-C to USB-A Cable — 3 m, MFi and USB-IF Certified, Black

3 m reachMFi and USB-IF certifiedTested past 8,000 bendsCharge and sync

The Belkin BOOST↑CHARGE USB-C to USB-A Cable, part number CAB001BT3MBK, is a 3 m cable that charges and syncs a USB-C phone, tablet or accessory from any standard USB-A port — a laptop, a car socket, an older wall charger, a hotel bedside panel or a powered hub. Belkin tests it past 8,000 bends at its internal durability standard and it is unusual in carrying both MFi and USB-IF certification, so the electrical behaviour has been verified by the USB Implementers Forum and by Apple. At 3 m it reaches a socket on the far side of a room, which is exactly the length people find themselves short of. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB-A to USB-C cable, so the charging rate is set by what USB-A can deliver: Belkin lists this line at 15 W. It is not a Power Delivery cable, because a USB-A port cannot negotiate PD — it will not fast-charge a modern iPhone or Galaxy at 20 W or more and it will not power a laptop. For that you need a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C PD charger. Data runs at USB 2.0 speeds and there is no video output. The jacket and head strain relief are PVC — this is not the braided CAB002.
Key Features

3 m for the socket across the room
The length nobody has and everybody needs: from a wall socket behind a sofa to a phone on the arm, or from a desktop tower on the floor up to a device on a shelf, without an extension.

Both MFi and USB-IF certified
Belkin states this cable carries both certifications. USB-IF covers the USB electrical and mechanical requirements, and MFi covers Apple accessory compliance — unusual on a USB-A to USB-C lead and a real mark of quality control.

Tested past 8,000 bends
Belkin’s internal durability test flexes the cable repeatedly at 60 degrees. It is a comparative measure of how well the jacket and strain relief survive coiling, yanking and being stuffed in a bag — the way most cables actually die.

Charge and sync, and rated for the car
Charging plus full data transfer over the same lead, and Belkin confirms in-car use, so one cable covers the vehicle USB-A socket, the office laptop and the wall charger at home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it fast-charge my phone?
No, and no USB-A cable can. Fast charging needs USB Power Delivery, which requires a USB-C source. Belkin lists this line at 15 W, which is a sensible overnight or in-car rate. For 20 W and above you need a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C PD charger.
Why does a USB-C cable need MFi certification?
MFi is Apple’s accessory programme, and Belkin states this cable carries it alongside USB-IF certification. In practice the double certification means the cable has been verified by both the body that defines USB and by Apple — more assurance than you normally get on a USB-A to USB-C lead.
Is 3 m too long to charge properly?
No. Belkin builds and certifies this cable at 3 m, so the conductor gauge is specified for the length. What you should not do is add a cheap extension to a shorter cable, which is where voltage drop and unreliable charging actually come from.
Should I buy this or the braided CAB002?
CAB002 is the braided version: a nylon sheath that resists fraying, tested past 10,000 bends. This CAB001 uses a PVC jacket and head strain relief and is tested past 8,000 bends, at a lower price. Both charge and sync over USB-A. Take the braid if the cable lives in a bag; take this one for a fixed position at a desk, a bedside or in a car.
Singular Expert Insight
The deciding question is the port you are plugging into. If your charger, car or laptop has a rectangular USB-A socket, this is the right cable, and 3 m is the length worth buying because short cables are what force people into extension leads and awkward positions. The certification here is genuinely notable: Belkin lists this cable as both USB-IF and MFi certified, which is more than most USB-A to USB-C leads can claim, and certification is what stops a cable misreporting itself to a charger. Set your expectations at 15 W — no Power Delivery is possible over USB-A, full stop. If your charger has an oval USB-C port, buy a USB-C to USB-C cable instead and get fast charging. Browse our mobile phones range for the devices it is tested with, and our laptop power supplies section if you need a charger with more headroom.
Buyer's Guide

Buy it if

Your charger, car or laptop has a USB-A port, you need genuine 3 m of reach, and you want a doubly certified cable rather than an unbranded one.

Skip it if

You want fast charging at 20 W or more, or you need to power a laptop — USB-A cannot do Power Delivery. Buy a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C PD charger instead.

Also consider

The braided Belkin CAB002 USB-C to USB-A cable if durability matters more than price, the Belkin CAB004 braided USB-C to USB-C 60 W cable if your charger has a USB-C port, or the 1 m and 2 m versions of this same cable.
