Belkin BOOST↑UP Universal Car Charger — 17 W / 3.4 A, Coiled Micro-USB Cable + USB-A Port

17 W / 3.4 A totalTwo devices at once4 ft coiled cable2-year Belkin warranty

The Belkin BOOST↑UP Universal Car Charger, part number F8M890BT04-BLK, is a 12 V car charger with a permanently attached coiled Micro-USB cable and a second USB 2.0 Type-A port, rated at 17 W / 3.4 A in total so it can charge two devices at the same time. The tethered lead is the point of it: no loose cable to lose, no adapter to remember, and the coil keeps a 4 ft (1.2 m) reach tidy on the console while stretching to about 6 ft when you need to pass the phone to a passenger. The compact black housing sits flush in the socket rather than sticking out into the footwell. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility — check before buying:
The attached cable is Micro-USB, which means it charges older Android phones, tablets, e-readers, Bluetooth speakers, dash cams and headsets — it does not fit USB-C or Lightning devices. A modern phone can still be charged from the spare USB-A port using your own USB-A to USB-C or USB-A to Lightning cable. The 17 W / 3.4 A rating is the combined budget shared across both outputs, and this is a standard USB-A charger, so it does not do USB Power Delivery or fast-charge a modern laptop or a recent flagship phone at its full rate.
Key Features

Tethered coiled Micro-USB cable
A 4 ft coiled cable that extends to roughly 6 ft: long enough to reach a rear passenger, short enough that it does not pool in the footwell. Nothing to unplug, forget or lose between journeys.

Spare USB-A port for a second device
The second output takes any USB-A cable, so a passenger can charge a phone, a set of earbuds or a power bank at the same time as the Micro-USB device on the fixed lead.

17 W / 3.4 A across both outputs
Enough headroom that two phones charge at a useful rate simultaneously rather than trickling — a real limitation of the 1 A single-port chargers this replaces.

Compact, flush-fitting housing
A low-profile black body designed to sit level with the socket in a car interior instead of protruding, which is what stops a charger being kicked or snapped off in a footwell.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will it charge an iPhone or a USB-C phone?
Not from the attached cable — that lead is Micro-USB and only fits devices with a Micro-USB port. You can still charge an iPhone or a USB-C phone by plugging your own USB-A to Lightning or USB-A to USB-C cable into the spare USB-A port on the charger.
Can it charge two devices at the same time?
Yes. The Micro-USB lead and the USB-A port work together, sharing the 17 W / 3.4 A budget. Two phones charge at a sensible rate side by side; if one device draws heavily the other will be slower, as with any shared-budget charger.
Is this a fast charger?
It is a rapid charger by Micro-USB era standards at 3.4 A, but it is not a modern fast charger: there is no USB Power Delivery and no PPS, so a recent flagship phone will charge at its standard rate rather than its maximum. If you want 20 W or more into a modern iPhone or Android, choose a USB-C PD car charger instead.
What is actually in the box?
The car charger itself with the coiled Micro-USB cable permanently attached. There is no second cable supplied for the USB-A port, so bring your own for the device you want to charge there.
Singular Expert Insight
This is the right charger for a specific and still very common situation: a car that gets used by more than one person, where at least one device is Micro-USB — an older Android phone, a tablet, a dash cam, a Kindle, a Bluetooth speaker. The tethered coiled lead means there is always a working cable in the car, which is the actual problem most people have. Be clear-eyed about what it is not: 17 W shared with no USB Power Delivery is a world away from a modern 45 W USB-C PD car charger, so if every device in the car is USB-C or Lightning you should buy one of those instead and skip this entirely. Belkin’s 2-year term and the eight-point protection philosophy behind the range are what you are paying over a supermarket charger for — a cheap car charger failing is not just an inconvenience, it is a fire risk in a hot car. Browse our mobile phones range if you are moving on from a Micro-USB handset, and our GPS navigation section for the sat-nav that will be sharing the socket.
Buyer's Guide

Buy it if

You keep a Micro-USB device in the car — an older Android phone, tablet, dash cam or Kindle — and want a permanently attached cable plus a spare USB-A port for a passenger.

Skip it if

Every device you charge is USB-C or Lightning, or you want modern fast charging — a 17 W USB-A charger with no Power Delivery will feel slow. Buy a USB-C PD car charger instead.

Also consider

A Belkin BoostCharge USB-C PD car charger for modern phones at 20 W and above, or a Belkin magnetic Qi2 car charger if you want the phone mounted and charging without any cable at all.
