BenQ ZOWIE U2-DW — Wireless Esports Mouse, Black, Medium

Up to 4000 Hz wireless80 h at 1000 Hz, 24 h at 4000 Hz60 g, medium size2.4 GHz only — no Bluetooth

The BenQ ZOWIE U2-DW is a wireless esports mouse built for competitive FPS play: a symmetrical right-handed shape with both sides curved inward for a secure claw grip, 60 g, 7 buttons, a 24-step optical scroll wheel and ZOWIE’s trademark plug-and-play setup with no software at all. The DW in the name is the 4K wireless version — the box includes both an Enhanced Wireless Receiver that doubles as a charging dock and unlocks 2000 and 4000 Hz, and a plain USB receiver for 1000 Hz. ZOWIE publishes 80 hours of battery at 1000 Hz, 30 hours at 2000 Hz and 24 hours at 4000 Hz. Part number 9H.N4PBE.A2E, EAN 4718755094446. Sizing is everything with ZOWIE shapes — tell us your hand length and grip and we will confirm U2-DW is the right size before you order.

Compatibility — check before buying:
It connects by 2.4 GHz only: there is no Bluetooth, so it needs a free USB-A port for the receiver (a USB-C adapter is in the box). The 2000 and 4000 Hz rates work only through the Enhanced Wireless Receiver, and each receiver pairs with one mouse. Sizing: the U2 is a medium shape aimed at claw and fingertip grips; palm grippers with large hands usually prefer the ZOWIE EC or FK ranges. There is no software — DPI (400/800/1000/1200/1600/3200), polling rate, click response and lift-off distance are set with buttons on the mouse. Do not confuse it with the wired-only U2 or the 1000 Hz-only earlier models: only the DW suffix has the 4K receiver.

Best For

✓ Competitive FPS play at 2000 or 4000 Hz
✓ Players who want zero software and onboard-only settings
✓ LAN and tournament use with the dock as charger
✓ Claw and fingertip grips on a medium shape
✓ Anyone moving from a wired ZOWIE to wireless
✓ Esports teams standardising on one receiver-based setup

Key Features

4K wireless with the enhanced receiver
The Enhanced Wireless Receiver in the box unlocks 2000 and 4000 Hz polling and charges the mouse when docked; the second, plain USB receiver gives 1000 Hz on a second PC.

ZOWIE simplicity
No software, no account, no RGB. Six DPI steps from 400 to 3200, five report rates from 125 to 4000 Hz, Fast or Normal click response and Motion Sync are all set on the mouse and stored in it.

Built for the grip
The U2 shape is symmetrical with an inward curve on both sides, designed for claw grip. At 60 g with 100% PTFE feet it is light without going skeletal.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the ZOWIE U2-DW need software?
No. Everything is set on the mouse itself and saved onboard. That is the point of ZOWIE — plug it in at any PC and it behaves the same.
Can I use it over Bluetooth with a laptop?
No. It is 2.4 GHz only. Use the USB receiver, or the included USB-C adapter if the laptop has no USB-A port.
What is the difference between the U2-DW and the U2?
Same shape; the plain version is wired (or 1000 Hz only on earlier wireless models). The DW adds the Enhanced Wireless Receiver for 2000 and 4000 Hz and charges on the dock.
Is the U2-DW good for palm grip?
It is designed around claw and fingertip grips. If you rest your whole palm on the mouse, look at the ZOWIE EC (ergonomic) or FK (lower, wider) shapes instead — ask us.
Singular Expert Insight

The U2-DW is ZOWIE’s answer to the modern lightweight symmetrical shape: 60 g, inward-curved sides and the 4K receiver. Against the ZA13-DW in the same range it is lower and longer, for claw rather than the ZA’s high-hump flick style. ZOWIE publishes no sensor name and no warranty term, which is unusual, so we write neither. Compare it with the other wireless mice in our range and tell us your grip and hand size — we will confirm the size before you order.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if

You play competitive FPS, want 2000 or 4000 Hz wireless with no software, and you use a claw or fingertip grip on a medium shape.

Skip it if

You need Bluetooth for a laptop, want RGB or software profiles, or you palm-grip a large hand — the U2 is a medium claw shape.

Also consider

The ZOWIE ZA13-DW if you like a high hump for flicks, or the Logitech G PRO X SUPERLIGHT 2 if you want 8000 Hz and software profiles.
