Brennenstuhl Alu-Line 19.500 A — 19-Inch Rack Power Strip with Surge Protection, 8 Schuko
19,500 A surge protection8x Schuko at 45°19-inch aluminium3680 W
The Brennenstuhl Alu-Line 19.500 A (1390007308) is a 19-inch rack power strip with eight Schuko sockets and integrated surge protection rated at a maximum surge current of 19,500 A. It is meant for network and server cabinets where routers, switches, NAS units and other equipment with Schuko-plug adapters should sit behind a surge barrier.
The earthed sockets are angled at 45° with increased touch protection in an aluminium profile, and the strip carries up to 3680 W at 230 V through a 2 m H05VV-F 3G1.5 cable with a Schuko angle plug.
Before you order: Cyprus wall outlets are BS 1363 (Type G). This product has a Schuko (CEE 7/7) plug, so it needs a Schuko outlet or a properly rated Type G adapter; a fused 13 A adapter caps the total load at roughly 3,000 W.
What's in the Box
- 1x Brennenstuhl Alu-Line 19.500 A 19-inch extension lead with surge protection, 8-way, silver/black, with fixed 2 m cable and Schuko angle plug
What It Means in Practice
- Adds a surge barrier for every Schuko-powered device in a small network cabinet from one rack slot.
- Useful where the building has no surge protection on the distribution board.
- Place it after a UPS with Schuko output only if the UPS manufacturer permits surge strips on its output.
- 3680 W total covers typical office racks.
What Will Not Work
- Protecting telephone, DSL or LAN lines — mains side only.
- Equipment with IEC C13/C14 cords — choose a C13-outlet strip.
- Direct use in a Cyprus Type G outlet without a Schuko outlet or rated adapter.
- Overload tripping at the strip — no circuit breaker is listed.
- Outdoor or damp locations — IP20.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
If a cabinet's gear runs on Schuko adapters and the building has no surge protection, this Alu-Line is a simple upgrade over a plain rack strip: same slot, same sockets, plus a 19,500 A surge barrier. Browse other rack accessories for IEC-outlet strips and shelves.
✓ Buy it if you want surge protection for Schuko-powered network gear in a 19-inch rack.
✕ Skip it if your equipment uses IEC cords, or you need data-line protection.
→ Also consider the Brennenstuhl Alu-Line 19-inch 8-way with switch (no surge) or the EFB 7-way 1U surge strip.
