The Broadcom BCM5719 Ethernet 1Gb 4-port BASE-T OCP3 Adapter for HPE (P51181-B21) is a quad-port Gigabit Ethernet card in the OCP 3.0 form factor, for HPE servers that have an OCP 3.0 slot for their primary network adapter.
Using the OCP slot for the network card keeps every standard PCIe slot free for storage controllers, GPUs or faster NICs, while giving the server four copper Gigabit ports on HPE-qualified Broadcom silicon.
Before you order: This card only fits an OCP 3.0 slot. It will not go into a standard PCIe slot — for that, order P51178-B21, the PCIe stand-up version of the same adapter. Not every HPE server has an OCP 3.0 slot; send us your server model and we will confirm.

- Standard Cat5e or better patch cables to any Gigabit switch — no transceivers required.
- UEFI and legacy PXE boot and Wake-on-LAN for deployment and remote power-on.
What Will Not Work
- It will not fit a standard PCIe slot — use P51178-B21 for that.
- It will not fit servers that have only a FlexibleLOM connector or no OCP 3.0 slot at all.
- It will not run 2.5GbE, 10GbE or faster, and it has no SFP ports for fibre.
- Non-HPE servers are not an HPE-supported configuration.

The only real risk is ordering the wrong form factor, so check the slot first. We can also supply the matching Gigabit switches for the other end of the links.
