The Brother ADS-4500W is a desktop A4 document scanner that captures both sides of each page in a single pass at up to 35 pages per minute, built for small offices and departments that want several people to scan from one shared device. It connects over Wi-Fi, wired Ethernet or USB 3.0, so it can sit next to a single PC or be placed on the network and used by the whole team.

A 7.1 cm colour touchscreen on the front lets users pick a destination and start a job without walking back to a computer, and a USB host port on the rear lets you scan straight to a flash drive. The 60-sheet feeder handles mixed stacks of plain paper, thin and thick paper, business cards and plastic cards, including embossed ones. Brother's iPrint&Scan software handles everyday jobs such as searchable PDF, Word and Excel output, while standard TWAIN, WIA, ICA and SANE drivers connect it to accounting, practice-management and document-management software. Advanced image processing removes blank pages, punch holes and background colour automatically, and colour dropout helps OCR on pre-printed forms. • 35 ppm one-sided and 70 images per minute two-sided means a 60-page double-sided contract becomes a 120-image PDF in under two minutes. That is fast enough that people will not queue at the scanner during a normal office day.
• Wi-Fi and Ethernet let several PCs and Macs share one scanner, and the touchscreen can send scans to a network folder, FTP, email or cloud services set up by your administrator. Shortcuts mean the person scanning does not need to know where the file ends up.
• The rear USB host port scans directly to a USB flash drive (up to 128 GB, FAT32 or exFAT), useful for one-off jobs or visitors without network access.
• Plastic cards up to 1.32 mm with embossing (1.10 mm without) can go through the feeder, so ID and loyalty cards are captured alongside the paperwork.
