The Brother RJ-3230B is a 3-inch mobile direct thermal printer for labels and receipts beside the customer, shelf or item. This RJ3230BLZ1 package includes a 3000 mAh smart Li-ion battery, belt clip and roll-holder stop. Bluetooth 5.0, Apple MFi/NFC support and USB-C data/charging make it a portable host-connected printer. It has no included Wi-Fi; Ethernet operation requires a compatible optional charging cradle.

Before you order:
Use a compatible printing app/driver and suitable direct thermal stock. Media can be up to 80 mm wide, while maximum printable width is 72 mm. Arrange suitable USB-C charging accessories or an optional charging solution; charger/cable inclusion is not confirmed in this package list. Cradle Ethernet, automatic peeling and linerless operation require the corresponding optional accessories.

What It Means in Practice

  • For example, pair the printer with a supported handheld app, select a shelf label or customer receipt and send it over Bluetooth. The printer uses heat-sensitive media without ribbon; tear the output at the bar. The app supplies the data and any stock/order updates.
  • USB-C supports charging as well as data. For a desk return/charging workflow, choose a compatible optional cradle if you also need Ethernet; the handheld body itself is not a wired-LAN workstation.

What Will Not Work

  • Wi-Fi is not supplied by this Bluetooth model. Ethernet requires the compatible charging cradle.
  • Thermal-transfer ribbons are not supported. Linerless media and automatic peeling need optional hardware; do not assume they are fitted.
