The Brother TJ-6421TN is a 6-inch industrial label printer that prints by thermal transfer or direct thermal at 203 dpi and up to 305 mm/s (12 ips), built for warehouses, logistics hubs and manufacturing lines printing wide shipping, pallet and product labels all day.

It prints up to 168 mm wide on media from 50.8 to 172.7 mm, takes rolls up to 208 mm diameter on 1"–3" cores and ribbons up to 450 m, and has a 4.3-inch colour touchscreen. USB 2.0, USB Host, RS-232C and 10/100 Ethernet are standard, with optional Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and GPIO modules. FBPL-EZD emulates ZPL2, EPL2 and DPL, so it can replace many existing industrial printers without changing label templates.

Before you order: No ribbon or labels are included. Thermal transfer printing needs a wax, wax/resin or resin ribbon on a 1" core (max 450 m, max 81 mm diameter) matched to your label material.

What Will Not Work

  • No ribbon or media in the box.
  • Cutter, peeler/rewinder, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth and GPIO are optional extras; the cutter and peeler must be dealer-installed.
  • 203 dpi is not ideal for very small 2D codes or tiny text — Brother offers a separate 300 dpi model.
  • At 17.9 kg it needs a sturdy bench, not a desk shelf.

Which ribbon do I need?
A ribbon on a 1" core up to 450 m, in wax, wax/resin or resin depending on your labels. Tell us the label material and we will match it.
Can it replace a Zebra printer?
In most cases, yes: it emulates ZPL2, so existing Zebra label formats usually print without changes. Send us a sample label file to test.
Can I add a cutter later?
Yes, the PA-CU-008 cutter is available, but it must be installed by a dealer.
