Brother TN-423Y High Yield Yellow Toner Cartridge

Up to 4,000 pagesYellowOriginal BrotherEAN 4977766771719

The Brother TN-423Y (part number TN423Y) is a genuine High Yield yellow toner cartridge that prints up to 4,000 pages and is built for the Brother HL-L8260/L8360, DCP-L8410 and MFC-L8690/L8900 colour laser series. As the high-capacity yellow option it lowers the cost per page versus the standard TN-421Y, making it ideal for workgroups that print colour regularly. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.

Compatibility & what you need to know
Fits Brother DCP-L8410CDW, DCP-L8410CDWT; HL-L8260CDW, HL-L8360CDW; MFC-L8690CDW, MFC-L8900CDW. On these machines toner and drum are separate — the TN-423Y supplies yellow toner, while imaging is handled by the DR-421CL drum unit (sold separately). For the heaviest volumes the Super High Yield yellow is the TN-426Y (~6,500 pages); the standard yellow is the TN-421Y (~1,800 pages). Complete the set with the black TN-423BK and cyan TN-423C and magenta TN-423M.

Key Features

High Yield 4,000 pages
Roughly 4,000 yellow pages at 5% coverage — far more than the standard TN-421Y, lowering cost per page for colour-heavy offices.

Genuine Brother colour
An Original Brother cartridge formulated for true, repeatable yellow and reliable feeding, avoiding the colour drift and faults common with non-genuine toner.

Separate toner & drum
Toner and DR-421CL drum are independent, so you replace only the empty toner and keep the long-life drum — less waste and lower running costs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which printers does the Brother TN-423Y work with?
Brother DCP-L8410CDW/CDWT, HL-L8260CDW, HL-L8360CDW, MFC-L8690CDW and MFC-L8900CDW colour laser printers.
How does the TN-423Y compare with TN-421Y and TN-426Y?
All three are yellow cartridges for the same printers. The TN-421Y is standard (~1,800 pages), the TN-423Y is High Yield (~4,000), and the TN-426Y is Super High Yield (~6,500) — higher yields cost less per page.
Do I need a new drum with the TN-423Y?
No. The DR-421CL drum is a separate, long-life unit that lasts across several toner changes. You only replace the TN-423Y when the yellow toner runs out.
Singular Expert Insight
For regular colour printing the High Yield TN-423Y hits the sweet spot on cost per page; very heavy users should look at the Super High Yield TN-426Y. Genuine Brother toner keeps colour accurate and protects the printer. Order the matching TN-423C, TN-423M and TN-423BK together, and keep a DR-421CL drum on hand for when prints start to streak.

Buyer’s Guide

Buy it if
You run a Brother HL-L8360CDW, DCP-L8410CDW or MFC-L8900CDW with regular colour volume and want genuine high-yield yellow.
Skip it if
You print colour very heavily — the Super High Yield TN-426Y is cheaper per page — or only rarely, where the standard TN-421Y may suit.
Also consider
The matching TN-423C, TN-423M and TN-423BK for a full set, the Super High Yield TN-426Y, and a spare DR-421CL drum.
