Brother TZe-N201 Non-Laminated Label Tape — Black on White, 3.5 mm x 8 m
Genuine Brother TZe3.5 mm x 8 mBlack on WhiteNon-laminated
The Brother TZe-N201 is a genuine non-laminated TZe label tape cassette that prints black text on white tape in the narrowest TZe width, 3.5 mm, with 8 m of tape per cassette. It is made for P-touch users who need very small labels on things where a standard 6 mm or 12 mm label simply will not fit.
Typical uses are tiny identifiers on fine cables, small connectors, test tubes, pens, small tools, keys and electronic components. Because the tape is non-laminated, the print sits on the surface of the tape: it is intended for general indoor labelling rather than for labels exposed to water, chemicals or heavy abrasion.
Before you order: This cassette fits Brother P-touch printers with the TZ or TZe logo — but not every TZe model prints on 3.5 mm tape. Check that your printer lists 3.5 mm as a supported width (for example PT-H110, PT-D210, PT-D410, PT-E110, PT-E550W and PT-P300BT list it). It does not fit M-tape or Btag printers.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Brother TZe-N201 TZe tape cassette, 3.5 mm wide, 8 m long
- Non-laminated white tape with black print
- Adhesive tape on a peel-off backing
What It Means in Practice
- 3.5 mm holds a single line of very small characters — think short codes, numbers or initials, not words or sentences.
- Black on white gives the best possible contrast at this tiny size, on any surface colour.
- Non-laminated print can wear with frequent handling or cleaning — fine for indoor items, not for harsh environments.
- 8 m of tape goes a long way when each label is only a few centimetres long.
What Will Not Work
- TZe printers that do not support 3.5 mm tape — the cassette may load but the printer will not print on it correctly; check your model first.
- M-series printers (M tape logo) and Btag models — different cassette system.
- Outdoor, wet, chemical or high-abrasion use — choose a laminated TZe tape for that.
- Brother QL printers or other brands — TZe cassettes are Brother P-touch only.
Key Features
Narrowest TZe width
At 3.5 mm it labels items too small for standard tape: fine cables, small parts, pens and components.
Maximum contrast
Black on white stays readable even at very small character sizes.
Genuine TZe cassette
Drop-in cassette for TZe P-touch printers with 3.5 mm support; the printer cuts each label.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much text fits on 3.5 mm?
One line of very small characters. Most printers fix the font size automatically for this width, so plan for short codes or numbers rather than words.
What is the difference from laminated TZe tape?
Laminated tape protects the print under a clear layer for water, abrasion and chemical resistance. Non-laminated tape is for general indoor use where the label is not exposed to wear.
Does it work in my PT-H110 / PT-D210?
Brother lists 3.5 mm as a supported width for both. For any other model, send us the model name and we will check it.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
The TZe-N201 solves one specific problem: labelling things that are too small for 6 mm tape. Before ordering, confirm that your P-touch lists 3.5 mm support — that single check avoids the most common wrong purchase with this tape. Browse our
labels and label tapes range for wider and laminated alternatives.
✓ Buy it if you need tiny black-on-white labels for fine cables, small parts or components and your TZe printer supports 3.5 mm.
✕ Skip it if your printer does not list 3.5 mm, or the labels will face water, chemicals or heavy handling.
→ Also consider TZe-211 (black on white, 6 mm, laminated) when you have a little more space and need durability.
Not sure which tape your printer takes? Send us the exact model of your label printer and we will confirm the right cassette or roll before you order.
