The Brother VC-500W is a compact full-colour label printer that uses ZINK Zero Ink paper — the colour is in the CZ roll itself — to print 313 dpi labels from 9 to 50 mm wide, sent over Wi-Fi or USB from a phone, tablet or computer. It suits shops, cafés, schools, creative studios and home offices that want colour-coded labels, product stickers or small photo labels.
Because there are no ink cartridges or ribbons, the only consumable is the CZ roll in the width you choose.
Before you order: It prints only on Brother CZ ZINK rolls. TZe tapes, DK rolls and standard thermal labels do not fit or will not print in colour.

What It Means in Practice
- Design in the free Color Label Editor 2 app on iOS or Android and print over Wi-Fi; Macs and iPhones can also use AirPrint.
- Colour-code storage boxes, files, food containers or products and add logos or photos to labels.
- Choose roll width per job: 9, 12, 19, 25 or 50 mm, each roll 5 m long, labels up to 420 mm.
- Cut labels with the swipe cutter on top of the printer.
- On a PC or Mac, P-touch Editor handles layout, text and images.
What Will Not Work
- Fast batch printing — speed is about 8 mm/s, so it is for small runs, not shipping labels.
- Non-ZINK media such as TZe, DK or standard thermal rolls.
- Labels wider than 50 mm or longer than 420 mm.
- Bluetooth or wired LAN — Wi-Fi and USB only.
