Datalogic CAB-433 — RS-232 PWR Cable, 9-pin Female, Straight, 6 ft
RS-232 (PWR)DB9 femaleStraight, 1.8 m / 6 ftPowerScan base stations
The Datalogic CAB-433 is a straight 6 ft (about 1.8 m) RS-232 cable with a 9-pin female connector that links a Datalogic PowerScan cordless base station to the serial (COM) port of a PC, POS or industrial controller. Datalogic lists it as "Cable, RS-232 PWR, 9P, Female, Straight, CAB-433, 6 ft" for the PowerScan 9500 series, PowerScan 9501-DPM and PowerScan 9100 series.
In Datalogic's PowerScan 9500 RS-232 kits this cable is paired with the BC9030 base station (BT, 433 MHz or 910 MHz versions) and the base station's power brick 8-0935 with a country power cord. In other words, the base is powered by its own supply, and this cable carries the serial data to the host.
Before you order: This is a base-station cable for Datalogic PowerScan cordless scanners. Distributor listings sometimes mention Magellan 8300/8500, but Datalogic does not list CAB-433 for Magellan — send us your scanner model before ordering.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the cable power the base station?
In Datalogic's RS-232 kits the BC9030 base uses its own power brick 8-0935; plan for that supply.
Will it work with a Magellan 8300/8500?
Datalogic does not list it for Magellan. Send us your model and we will find the correct cable.
USB instead of serial?
Use Datalogic CAB-438, the USB cable listed for the same PowerScan base stations.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
PowerScan cordless kits are built around the base station, and the cable is chosen by the host port: CAB-433 for RS-232, CAB-438 for USB. If you are adding a base to an existing serial system, this is the cable to order. See our
scanner accessories.
✓ Buy it if you connect a PowerScan 9500 / 9501-DPM / 9100 base station to a serial COM port.
✕ Skip it if your host only has USB, or your scanner is a Magellan or another brand.
→ Also consider Datalogic CAB-438 USB Type A straight cable for the same base stations.
Not sure which cable your scanner needs? Send us the scanner model (it is on the label under the scanner) and the port you will plug into, and we will confirm the right cable before you order.
