Datalogic CAB-438 — USB Type A Straight Cable for PowerScan Base Stations
USB Type AStraightPowerScan base stationsDatalogic original
The Datalogic CAB-438 is a straight USB cable with a USB Type A plug that connects a Datalogic PowerScan cordless base station to a PC, POS or industrial computer. Datalogic lists it simply as "CAB-438 USB Type A Straight" among the accessories of the PowerScan 9500 series, PowerScan 9501-DPM and PowerScan 9100 series, and includes it in PowerScan 9600 USB kits.
In Datalogic's USB kits the cable is paired with the BC9030 base station (BT, 433 MHz or 910 MHz) and the base station power brick 8-0935 with a country cord. The cable carries the USB data; the base keeps its own supply, which also charges the scanner.
Before you order: CAB-438 is a base-station cable for Datalogic PowerScan cordless scanners. Distributor data sometimes lists other models; Datalogic does not list it for Magellan fixed scanners. Datalogic does not publish the length — if cable length matters for your installation, ask us before ordering.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
For PowerScan cordless installations, the host port decides the cable: CAB-438 for USB, CAB-433 for RS-232. Keep the base station supply in your order if you are building a new station. See our
scanner accessories.
✓ Buy it if you connect a PowerScan 9500 / 9501-DPM / 9100 / 9600 base station to a USB port.
✕ Skip it if your host only has a serial port, or your scanner is a Magellan or another brand.
→ Also consider Datalogic CAB-433 RS-232 cable for serial hosts.
Not sure which cable your scanner needs? Send us the scanner model (it is on the label under the scanner) and the port you will plug into, and we will confirm the right cable before you order.
