Canon PFI-207 MBK Matte Black Ink Tank — 300 ml
Canon PFI-207 MBKMatte black pigment300 mliPF680 · iPF780
The Canon PFI-207 MBK (8788B001) is the 300 ml matte black pigment ink tank for the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF680 and iPF780 large-format printers.
These printers use a 5-colour system: dye cyan, magenta, yellow and black plus pigment matte black. The matte black is used for CAD lines, text and matte-paper output where sharp, dense black matters.
Before you order: Canon lists PFI-207 (300 ml) and PFI-107 (130 ml) tanks for iPF680 and iPF780. The iPF685 and iPF785 are close variants — send us your exact model and we confirm.
What's in the Box
- 1 x Canon PFI-207 MBK matte black ink tank, 300 ml (8788B001)
What It Means in Practice
- 300 ml is the larger tank size for these printers — fewer changes than the 130 ml PFI-107
- Matte black is pigment ink, best for line drawings and text on plain and matte media
- Only the matte black slot is replaced; the four dye colours are separate tanks
What Will Not Work
- Photo black (BK) slot — this is the matte black (MBK) tank
- imagePROGRAF TM, TX, TA and PRO series printers — they use different ink tanks
- Desktop PIXMA or MAXIFY printers

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
On CAD and technical-drawing printers the matte black tank empties first, so the 300 ml size usually gives the lower cost per ml. Browse other consumables for the matching colours.
✓ Buy it if you run a Canon imagePROGRAF iPF680 or iPF780 and need matte black ink.
✕ Skip it if your printer is a newer imagePROGRAF TM/TX/PRO model.
→ Also consider The PFI-107 MBK 130 ml tank for lower-volume use.
Not sure it fits? Send us your imagePROGRAF model and we will confirm the right tank before you order.
