The Canon imageFORMULA DR-M260 is an A4 duplex document scanner that scans both sides at 60 pages (120 images) per minute from a 90-sheet feeder, built for back offices, legal and accounting teams with heavy daily volumes. Canon's on-board DR processor handles image clean-up inside the scanner, so speed holds even with deskew, colour detection and blank-page removal switched on. It takes a very wide range of media, from 27 g/m2 thin paper to 413 g/m2 card, plus plastic cards and long documents up to 5,588 mm, and a five-line LCD panel lets users pick jobs at the scanner. Bundled Tungsten VRS improves image quality automatically on difficult originals, and Tungsten Power PDF lets users edit, combine and annotate the PDFs they create. The scanner supports SharePoint as a destination through Canon's software, and MultiStream can output a colour and a black-and-white file of the same page in one pass. With trays closed it occupies 285 x 180 mm, compact for a 60ppm scanner. Who is it for? Back-office teams, law firms, accounting practices, insurers and archive projects that scan continuously during the day, and service bureaus digitising client records. It suits a dedicated scanning workstation where one operator feeds large prepared batches, and its media range means fewer pages have to be set aside for a flatbed.
