The EFB-Elektronik EC020200256 is a 0.5 m Cat 8.1 S/FTP patch cable in grey for 25GBASE-T and 40GBASE-T links in data centres and server racks. Part number EC020200256 is built on Cat 8.1 raw cable (4 × 2 AWG 26/7 stranded copper, pairs in metal foil under an overall braid) with a 6.2 mm LSZH jacket, and has shielded RJ45 plugs with 50 µ-inch gold contacts, a locking lever and a length imprint. EFB tests each cable individually on a Fluke analyser and includes the report. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility note: Cat 8.1 is specified for short channels of up to 30 m with two connectors, which is exactly how a 0.5 m rack jumper is used. To actually run at 25 or 40 Gbps both ports must support 25GBASE-T/40GBASE-T; on 1/10 GbE equipment the cable simply works at the port speed. EFB states PoE support but publishes no IEEE 802.3bt class.
