Compatibility note
Cat 7 describes only the raw cable. Because the ends are standard RJ45 plugs, the finished cord performs as a Cat 6A channel (500 MHz, 10 Gbps) — it is fully compatible with any RJ45 Cat 5e/6/6A port. At 15 cm it is meant for adjacent ports, e.g. patch panel to switch in a 1U-over-1U layout.
