CHERRY MW 4500 — 45° Ergonomic, Right-Handed
45° tilted ergonomic shell2.4 GHz receiver, stored in mouse3 DPI levels up to 12006 buttons, 2× AAA
The CHERRY MW 4500 (JW-4500, black) is a right-handed ergonomic mouse with a 45-degree tilted shell that relaxes the forearm without the steep angle of a full vertical mouse — a gentle first step for anyone with wrist strain. CHERRY publishes a 2.4 GHz nano USB receiver that stores inside the mouse, three DPI levels up to 1200, six buttons including two thumb buttons, and two AAA batteries in the box, with CHERRY’s two-year statutory plus one-year manufacturer warranty.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Right-handed only — the mirrored left-handed model is the MW 4500 LEFT (JW-4550). 2.4 GHz receiver only, no Bluetooth; the nano receiver is USB-A and proprietary (not Logitech Unifying). CHERRY lists Windows; CHERRY KEYS for button assignment is Windows-only. DPI tops out at 1200, which suits Full HD screens but is slow on large 4K monitors. CHERRY publishes no weight, sensor type, battery-life or silent-click figures for this model. It is a 45-degree tilt, not a 57–90-degree vertical.
Best For
✓ First ergonomic mouse for wrist or forearm strain
✓ Anyone who wants a gentler angle than a vertical mouse
✓ Desktops and docks with a USB-A port
✓ Office work on Full HD monitors
✓ Replaceable AAA batteries rather than charging
✓ Simple setups with no software
Key Features
45-degree comfort
The tilted shell keeps the forearm closer to a handshake position than a flat mouse, with two thumb buttons in natural reach.
Three DPI levels
A DPI button steps up to 1200 DPI, enough for laptop screens and Full HD monitors.
Receiver stored inside
The 2.4 GHz nano USB receiver stows in the mouse for travel and works plug-and-play; two AAA batteries are included.

Singular Expert Insight
The MW 4500 is the lowest-cost ergonomic tilt in our wireless mice and the one we suggest to people unsure whether they want a vertical mouse at all. It publishes fewer figures than the Trust Bayo II (57°, four DPI steps, rechargeable) or the Logitech Lift (Logi Bolt, Bluetooth), so buyers who want documented battery life or higher DPI should step up. A docking stations provides the USB-A port on a USB-C laptop.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want an inexpensive right-handed tilted mouse with thumb buttons on a USB receiver, mostly for Full HD screens.
Skip it if
You are left-handed (take JW-4550), need Bluetooth, silent clicks, DPI above 1200 or published battery life.
Also consider
Trust Bayo II (25145, 57° rechargeable) or Logitech Lift (Logi Bolt, Bluetooth).
