The CHERRY MW 8C ADVANCED is a premium office mouse built from an anodised aluminium top with rubberised Voronoi-pattern sides and a metal scroll wheel. The ADVANCED version is the compact model that travels well and suits either hand. A laser sensor offers four DPI levels from 600 to 3000 and works on glass, six buttons include two thumb buttons, and it connects by Bluetooth 4.2 or the included 2.4 GHz nano USB-A receiver — both AES-128 encrypted, switched underneath, with the receiver stored magnetically in the mouse. The 550 mAh battery recharges over USB-C and CHERRY quotes weeks of use per charge. Part number JW-8100, European packaging, EAN 4025112095696. Compatibility — check before buying:
Bluetooth 4.2 needs a computer with Bluetooth 4.0 or later; otherwise use the 2.4 GHz nano receiver, which is USB-A (USB-C-only laptops need an adapter). Symmetrical, but the thumb buttons sit on the left side, so it suits right-handed use best. CHERRY lists Windows 7 to 11 officially and CHERRY KEYS software for remapping. Do not confuse it with the MW 8C ERGO (JW-8600), the larger right-handed ergonomic version, or the US-packaged JW-8100US. CHERRY publishes no weight for this mouse.
