Chieftec Proton BDF-1000C 1000W Fully Modular Power Supply
1000W80 PLUS BronzeFully Modular140mm Silent Fan
The Chieftec Proton BDF-1000C is a 1000W fully modular ATX power supply with 80 PLUS Bronze efficiency, built for gaming rigs and high-demand workstations that need stable, headroom-rich power. A modern DC-to-DC design delivers a strong single +12V rail (83A / 996W), while the fully modular cabling lets you connect only the cables you need for a cleaner, better-airflow build. Part number BDF-1000C. With six 8-pin PCIe (6+2) connectors, nine SATA leads and a quiet 140mm temperature-controlled fan, it powers multi-drive, multi-GPU systems with ease. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Before you buy — compatibility
This is a standard ATX power supply measuring 160 mm deep (D×W×H 160×150×86 mm) — allow for the extra depth in compact cases. It uses native 8-pin PCIe (6+2) GPU connectors and follows the ATX12V 2.3 standard, so it has no native 12VHPWR / 12V-2x6 connector; the latest NVIDIA RTX 40/50 GPUs that require 12VHPWR will need the adapter supplied with the graphics card. Six PCIe connectors support demanding multi-GPU or high-wattage cards.
Key Features
1000W with a strong single +12V rail
Delivers up to 1000W continuous power with a single +12V rail rated 83A (996W), giving plenty of stable headroom for high-end CPUs and graphics cards under sustained load.
80 PLUS Bronze & DC-to-DC design
80 PLUS Bronze certification plus advanced DC-to-DC power conversion improve energy efficiency, voltage stability and component longevity, with active PFC (>0.9) for clean mains draw.
Fully modular cabling
Attach only the cables your build needs — reduces clutter, improves airflow and simplifies installation. Includes 1x 20+4 ATX, 8-pin EPS, 6x PCIe (6+2), 9x SATA and Molex leads.
Quiet, protected operation
A 140mm silent fan with Automatic Fan speed Control (AFC) keeps noise low, while a full protection suite (OCP, OPP, OTP, OVP, SCP, SIP, UVP) safeguards your components.

Singular Expert Insight
The Proton BDF-1000C is a sensible choice when you want 1000W of dependable, fully modular power without paying for Gold or Platinum efficiency. Its single +12V rail and six PCIe connectors suit a strong single-GPU or dual-GPU build; if you are chasing the lowest running cost or run the PSU at heavy load all day, an 80 PLUS Gold unit will recover the price difference over time. Buyer's Guide
Buy it if
You are building a 1000W gaming or workstation PC and want fully modular cabling, six PCIe connectors and quiet 140mm cooling at a Bronze-efficiency price.
Skip it if
You need a native 12VHPWR cable, top-tier 80 PLUS Gold/Platinum efficiency, or a short PSU for a very compact case (this unit is 160 mm deep).
Also consider
A lower-wattage Proton (BDF-850C / BDF-750C) for mainstream builds, or an 80 PLUS Gold 1000W unit if efficiency and 12VHPWR support are priorities.
