Cisco Four-Point Rack Mounting Kit — Type 2

4-post19″Catalyst 9300Rails + brackets

The Cisco 4PT-KIT-T2= is a four-point rack mounting kit that supports a switch at the front and the rear of a 4-post 19″ rack, instead of only at the front. Cisco describes it as extension rails and five brackets for four-point mounting, with 19″ brackets included, and lists it in the hardware installation guide of the Catalyst 9300 Series. Cisco also notes that NEBS installations are supported only with four-point mounting. In practice it carries the weight of a deep switch evenly in a 4-post rack and keeps it level over time.

Compatibility — check before buying:
For 4-post 19″ racks. For a 2-post rack or front-only mounting, the standard 19″ brackets (ACC-KIT-T1=) are enough. For 23″, 24″ or ETSI racks Cisco has a separate bracket kit (RACK-KIT-T1=). The Meraki-branded 4PT-KIT-T2-M is for Catalyst 9300-M switches. Cisco does not publish the supported rack depth range, so send us your rack depth before ordering. Not sure?
