The Cisco AIR-CAB005LL-R is a 5 ft (1.52 m) low-loss antenna cable with an RP-TNC plug at one end and an RP-TNC jack at the other, made for connecting or extending Cisco external antennas on access points with RP-TNC ports. It uses LMR-400 type cable and loses only 0.5 dB at 2.4 GHz and 0.8 dB at 5.8 GHz over its full length, both connectors straight. In practice it lets you move an antenna a little away from the access point — around a beam, above a ceiling tile or to a better wall position — while keeping almost all of the signal.

Compatibility — check before buying:
RP-TNC only. It fits Cisco access points and antennas with RP-TNC connectors; it does not fit N-type outdoor access points and antennas, such as the AIR-ANT2547VG-N. For N connectors, Cisco’s equivalent is the AIR-CAB005LL-N. One cable serves one antenna lead, so a 4-lead antenna needs four cables if all leads must be extended. Longer versions exist (AIR-CAB020LL-R and up) with more loss. Send us your access point and antenna and we confirm the connector.
