Cisco Catalyst 9200L 24-Port Gigabit Switch with 4x 1G SFP Uplinks, Network Advantage
24x Gigabit RJ454x 1G SFPNetwork AdvantageStackWise-80
The Cisco Catalyst 9200L C9200L-24T-4G-A is a 24-port Gigabit data access switch with four fixed 1G SFP uplinks and the Network Advantage license tier, aimed at branch offices, server rooms and small campus closets that want Cisco IOS XE and full Layer 3 features without PoE. It is a 1RU switch with a field-replaceable power supply and StackWise-80 stacking.
This is the data-only model: none of the 24 copper ports supply power over Ethernet. Choose it for desktops, printers, servers and links to other switches; if you need to power phones, access points or cameras, pick a PoE model instead.
Before you order: Cisco sells new Catalyst 9200L switches together with a mandatory Cisco DNA / Catalyst Advantage subscription term (3, 5 or 7 years) matching the Network Advantage license. If you need it in your quote, tell us the term.
What's in the Box
- Catalyst 9200L switch with one PWR-C5-125WAC power supply installed and a blank cover in the second bay
- AC power cord
- 19-inch rack-mount brackets with screws, cable guide and rubber feet
- Console cables (RJ45 / USB) and the StackWise-80 stack kit are separate Cisco parts — not included
What It Means in Practice
- Network Advantage gives you dynamic routing such as OSPF and BGP on a small access switch — useful at branches that route locally.
- The four uplinks are 1G SFP only; for 10G uplinks choose a -4X model.
- Up to eight C9200L switches can be stacked over StackWise-80 (80 Gbps) and managed as one; the stack kit is ordered separately and all members must run the same license tier.
- A second PWR-C5-125WAC can be added at any time for power redundancy.
What Will Not Work
- It provides no PoE — IP phones, access points and cameras need separate injectors or a PoE switch.
- The uplinks do not accept 10G SFP+ modules.
- It does not stack with Catalyst 9200 (non-L), 9300 or older Catalyst 2960/3650 switches.
- SFP optics are not included.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does it support PoE?
No. The C9200L-24T-4G-A is a data-only model. For PoE choose a C9200L 24P or 48P model.
Can I use 10G modules in the uplinks?
No, the -4G uplinks are 1G SFP. Models ending in -4X have 10G SFP+ uplinks.
Is the DNA subscription included?
The switch carries a perpetual Network Advantage license; Cisco requires a DNA/Catalyst Advantage subscription term on new orders. Ask us to quote the 3, 5 or 7-year term.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
Pick the C9200L-24T-4G-A when a branch or server closet needs a Cisco switch that can route properly but does not power anything. Network Advantage is worth it only if you will run OSPF/BGP or advanced features at that site; otherwise the Essentials version costs less. See our other
network switches for PoE and 10G-uplink models.
✓ Buy it if you need 24 Gigabit data ports, Layer 3 routing at the edge and a Cisco IOS XE platform.
✕ Skip it if you need PoE, 10G uplinks or more than 24 ports.
→ Also consider the C9200L-48PL-4X-E for 48 PoE+ ports with 10G uplinks.
