Running IOS XE, it delivers StackWise-160 stacking, baseline Layer 3, MACsec-128 and Catalyst Center management. This is the Network Essentials (-E) model. Uplinks are modular: the network module (4×1G, 4×10G, 4×mGig, 2×25G or 2×40G) is not included and sold separately. It ships with a Network Essentials license (this -E SKU: static routing, RIP); upgrade to Network Advantage (the -A SKU) for OSPF/advanced routing and SD-Access. Stacks up to 8 units over StackWise-160. 1U rack-mountable.
