The Club 3D CAC-2003 is an active adapter that converts a DisplayPort output into an analogue VGA signal, so a current desktop, all-in-one or thin client can drive a legacy VGA monitor, projector or KVM at up to WUXGA 1920 x 1200 60Hz. Sold under part number CAC-2003, it has a DisplayPort male plug on one end and a VGA female socket on the other, so the VGA cable already run to the display stays where it is. The conversion is active and powered by the DisplayPort output itself — no external supply, no drivers, and no dependency on dual-mode DP++ support. This is the white version of the design; the black sibling is the CAC-2013. Typically in stock with fast delivery across Cyprus.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The DisplayPort plug is the source side and the VGA socket is the display side; the adapter converts in one direction only and cannot feed a DisplayPort monitor from a VGA source. VGA is analogue and video-only, so no audio passes through and HDCP-protected content generally will not. Club 3D publishes the resolution ceiling two ways — the shop page says Full HD 60Hz, the specification sheet says up to WUXGA 1920 x 1200p at 60Hz — so plan around 1920 x 1200 60Hz as the maximum. A second documented inconsistency: the shop page lists the connector as DisplayPort 1.2 while the specification sheet describes a DisplayPort 1.1a compliant receiver with 5.4 Gbps over two lanes. Either way the analogue VGA output sets the limit. Club 3D also publishes two different UPC codes for this part, so use the EAN as the reliable identifier.

Analogue VGA persists in the places that are expensive to change: ceiling projectors, teaching lecterns, analogue KVM drawers and machine-mounted panels. In all of them the VGA cable is already run and the labour is the cost, not the adapter — which is exactly the case the CAC-2003 is built for. Two things decide whether it is right for you. First, insist on the active version, and this is one, powered off the DisplayPort connector; passive DP-to-VGA dongles depend on DP++ support that many current outputs no longer offer. Second, remember that analogue conversion always softens small text, so if the display has an HDMI or DisplayPort socket, use it. The only difference between this and the CAC-2013 is the white shell, which is worth choosing when the hardware is on show. Buy it if
The PC only offers DisplayPort, the display or projector only offers VGA, a VGA cable is already run to it, you need up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz, and a white adapter suits the installation better than a black one.
Skip it if
The display has an HDMI or DisplayPort input — use it, because digital is sharper. Also skip it if you need audio over the same link, if you need more than 1920 x 1200, or if the source port is Mini DisplayPort or USB-C rather than full-size DisplayPort.
