The Club 3D CAC-1060 is a 3-metre DisplayPort 1.4 cable with HBR3 signalling, VESA certification and the full 32.4 Gbps of link bandwidth, built for driving an 8K or high-refresh display from a tower that sits on the floor rather than on the desk. Sold under part number CAC-1060, it supports resolutions up to 8K 60Hz with Display Stream Compression 1.2, carries Forward Error Correction, HDR and up to 32 inline audio channels, and is backwards compatible with older DisplayPort standards. Compatibility — check before buying:
Both ends are full-size DisplayPort male connectors, so this is a straight cable and not an adapter — Mini DisplayPort, USB-C and HDMI devices need a different product. Reaching 8K 60Hz requires DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC 1.2 on both the graphics card and the display, and Club 3D asks you to keep display firmware and graphics drivers up to date. Older DisplayPort 1.2 hardware works fine but stays at its own HBR2 ceiling of 21.6 Gbps. Three metres is at the longer end of what passive DisplayPort copper handles comfortably at HBR3, so buy the length you actually need rather than the longest available — and for runs beyond roughly five metres look at an active repeater or a fibre-optic DisplayPort cable.
