The Club 3D CAC-1022 is a 2-metre DisplayPort 1.4 extension cable with a male plug at one end and a female socket at the other, built to add reach to an existing DisplayPort run without dropping below the HBR3 ceiling of 32.4 Gbps. Sold under part number CAC-1022, it supports resolutions up to 8K 60Hz or 4K 144Hz, carries Display Stream Compression 1.2, Forward Error Correction, HDR and up to 32 inline audio channels, and uses 28AWG conductors inside a soft Ultra-Flex jacket. Compatibility — check before buying:
This is an extension, not a standalone display cable — you still need a normal DisplayPort cable to plug into the female end. Signal quality across the whole run is the sum of both cables, so pairing a 28AWG HBR3 extension with a thin or old HBR2 primary cable will limit the result to whatever the weaker cable can carry. Reaching 8K 60Hz or 4K 144Hz also requires DSC 1.2 support on both the graphics card and the display, and Club 3D asks you to keep display firmware and graphics drivers current.
