Club 3D CAC-2505 USB-C to HDMI 2.1 Adapter 8K60Hz
HDMI 2.1 · 8K60 / 4K240DSC 1.2a · HDR10+VMM7100 chipset
The Club 3D CAC-2505 is a compact USB-C to HDMI 2.1 adapter that outputs up to 8K60 or 4K240 (with DSC) from laptops, tablets and phones with USB-C DisplayPort 1.4 Alt Mode to TVs and monitors. Part number CAC-2505 uses the Synaptics VMM7100 converter and supports 8/10/12-bit colour, Dynamic HDR10+, HDCP 2.3 and DSC 1.2a.
A 12 cm cable and a 4.9 × 2.2 cm housing weighing 22 g make it easy to carry, and Club 3D ships it with VRR/G-Sync/FreeSync support unlocked by default; CEC can be enabled with a firmware update.
Compatibility note: The USB-C port must support DisplayPort Alt Mode (HBR3); charge-only USB-C ports give no picture. 8K60 and 4K240 require DSC support on the GPU and a display with an HDMI 2.1 input. Club 3D notes that VRR behaviour varies by GPU, driver, firmware and display.

Singular Expert Insight
The VMM7100 is the chip that made USB-C to HDMI 2.1 adapters reliable, and the CAC-2505 packs it into a pocket-size form with VRR unlocked from the factory. It is the adapter to buy when connecting a modern laptop to an HDMI 2.1 TV or high-refresh monitor.
✓ Buy it if you need HDMI 2.1 bandwidth (4K120+, 8K60) from a USB-C laptop or tablet with DP Alt Mode.
✕ Skip it if your display is only HDMI 2.0 at 4K60 – a simpler adapter is enough.
→ Also consider Club 3D CAC-1559 USB-C to DisplayPort 2.1 cable for DP monitors.
