Club3D CSV-1460 USB-A/USB-C Dual Display 4K60Hz Docking Station, 2x DisplayPort, 6x USB-A, Gigabit LAN, DisplayLink, Black
Club3D CSV-1460 — dual 4K60 DisplayPort dock for USB-A and USB-C laptops
The Club3D CSV-1460 is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 docking station that drives two DisplayPort monitors at up to 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz (or one 5K monitor), and adds six USB-A 5Gbps ports, Gigabit Ethernet and headphone and microphone jacks. Built on the DisplayLink DL-6950 chipset, it works with almost any laptop with a USB-A or USB-C port.
Both a USB-A-to-B and a USB-C-to-B cable are in the box, which makes it a good fit for offices replacing older laptops gradually. The included 45W adapter powers the dock itself; it does not charge the connected laptop.
What's in the Box
- CSV-1460 docking station
- USB Type-A to Type-B cable (1 m)
- USB Type-C to Type-B cable (1 m)
- Power adapter (20V/2.25A, 45W)
- Quick install guide
What It Means in Practice
- Connect two 4K monitors by DisplayPort for a large extended desktop over one USB cable.
- Works on Macs with M-series chips that natively support only one external display, because DisplayLink handles the video.
- One of the six USB-A ports supports BC 1.2 for faster charging of a phone.
- Video is compressed over 5Gbps USB, which is ideal for office work but not for gaming.
What Will Not Work
- Laptop charging — there is no Power Delivery to the host.
- Video without the DisplayLink driver, for example on PCs where users cannot install software.
- HDMI monitors without a DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter.
- Gaming or fast-motion video at full quality.
