The Compulocks Edge Case BNDIP102 is a black rubberised protective band that wraps the edges of the iPad 10.2" (7th, 8th and 9th generation), raising the bezel above the screen and giving staff and customers a non-slip grip. It is designed for business tablets on counters, in classrooms and on shop floors rather than as a full-cover consumer case.

Because the back of the tablet is left open, the band works with Compulocks universal adhesive locking mechanisms and mounting plates: you can secure the tablet to a desk or stand and still have the edges cushioned. Cutouts keep the buttons, ports and cameras accessible.

Before you order: Made for the 10.2" iPad with Home button (7th–9th gen). The iPad 10th generation (10.9", no Home button) has a different body and needs another Edge Case model.

Yes, that is what the open back is for. Compulocks universal adhesive locking mechanisms attach to the back of the tablet while the band protects the edges. The lock is sold separately.
Does it fit together with a screen protector?
Yes. Compulocks designs the band to work with its own glass screen protectors; the raised bezel sits around the glass.
Is it a full rugged case?
No. It protects the edges and raises the bezel, but the back is open and no drop rating is published. For field use choose a fully enclosed rugged case.
