The Conceptronic HUBBIES03W adds four USB 3.0 ports to a desktop or notebook and, unlike most small four-port hubs, comes with its own 5 V / 2 A adapter in the box. That matters when the devices you connect draw real current: a powered hub keeps a drive or a card reader working instead of dropping it when the fourth device arrives. The connection cable is detachable rather than captive, so it can be swapped for a longer one or left behind when the hub lives permanently on a desk. The housing is a white 65 mm square, 15 mm tall and 50 g.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The upstream socket is USB Micro-B, and the supplied lead is USB-A to Micro-B — so a replacement is a specific cable, not any hub cable, and on a USB-C-only laptop you will need your own USB-A to USB-C adapter, because none is included. Conceptronic publishes USB Power Delivery: No for this hub: the adapter powers the ports, it does not charge the host. Per-port current is not published, so if you plan to run two bus-powered hard drives at once, tell us the drives and we will check it first.
