The Conceptronic LBA03 is a security slot adapter that adds a standard 3 × 7 mm lock slot to a laptop, tablet, monitor or other device that has none. You stick it to a flat surface of the device with the 3M adhesive pad in the box, and from then on a standard-slot laptop cable lock can be clicked into it like into a built-in slot. The LBA03 is made of durable high-impact plastic, measures 42.5 × 20.2 × 7 mm and weighs just 2 g, so it disappears on the back or side of a device. In practice it is the simple fix for modern ultrabooks, tablets and displays that left out the lock slot, when you still need to tether them to a desk in an office, classroom, reception or shop.
Compatibility — check before buying:
The adapter gives you a Standard slot only. Standard slot (about 3 × 7 mm, often called a K-Slot), the smaller Nano slot and the tapered Wedge slot (3.2 × 4.5 mm) are three different shapes, and a lock head fits only one of them. So you need a Standard-slot lock for it — our Conceptronic CUSTODIO01BW and CUSTODIO02BWM are Wedge-slot locks and will not fit this adapter. The adapter is only as secure as the adhesive bond: stick it to a clean, flat, rigid surface of the device, never over vents, labels, battery covers or removable panels, and let the bond set before loading it. Conceptronic does not publish a pull-out force. The lock itself is not included. Not sure which lock matches? Send us the device model and we check it.
