The Cudy PE10G is a 10 Gbps PCIe Ethernet adapter that adds a 10 Gigabit RJ45 port to a desktop PC, workstation or server through a PCIe 3.0 x4 slot. Cudy puts a Cat6 network cable in the box. Low-profile bracket included. A dedicated network card is the usual fix when the onboard port has failed, when the machine needs a second, separate network, or when it should move to a faster link than the motherboard offers.

Compatibility — check before buying:
Check the slot: the card needs a free PCIe slot that is physically x4 or longer (x8/x16); it will not fit an x1 slot. Brackets: Low-profile bracket included. 10 Gbps needs a 10GBASE-T switch port and Cat6A cabling for the full 100 m (Cat6 reaches shorter distances). With a Gigabit switch it simply runs at 1 Gbps. Cudy lists 10G, 2.5G, 1G, 100M and 10M; 5 Gbps is not listed. Operating systems listed by Cudy: Windows 10/11 (64-bit), Windows Server 2022, Linux.
