Cudy WR6500H — BE6500 Wi-Fi 7 Dual-Band Mesh Router with 2.5G WAN
Wi-Fi 7 BE65002.5G WANMLO · 4K-QAMCudy Mesh · VPN
The Cudy WR6500H is a BE6500 dual-band Wi-Fi 7 router with up to 5765 Mbps on 5 GHz and 688 Mbps on 2.4 GHz, a 2.5 Gbps WAN port and four gigabit LAN ports, built for fibre connections above 1 Gbps in homes and small offices.
Multi-Link Operation (MLO) and 4K-QAM raise throughput and stability for Wi-Fi 7 clients, a Broadcom 2.0 GHz quad-core CPU with 512 MB RAM handles up to 512 devices, and Cudy Mesh lets you add nodes with wireless or wired backhaul. WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec and ZeroTier are built in as server and client.
Compatibility note: This is a dual-band router (2.4 + 5 GHz) — it has no 6 GHz band. LAN ports are gigabit; only the WAN port runs at 2.5 Gbps. No USB port.

Singular Expert Insight
The WR6500H is a sensible Wi-Fi 7 upgrade for fibre users who want a 2.5G WAN and built-in WireGuard without paying for tri-band. Homes with many 6 GHz-capable devices or a need for 2.5G LAN ports should step up to a tri-band model. Browse all routers.
✓ Buy it if you have fibre above 1 Gbps and want Wi-Fi 7 with built-in VPN at a moderate price.
✕ Skip it if you need 6 GHz, multi-gig LAN ports or a USB port for storage.
→ Also consider a tri-band Wi-Fi 7 router with 6 GHz for dense device environments.
