The Datalogic BC9030-433 is the base station and charger for Datalogic PowerScan PM9500-series cordless scanners on the 433 MHz STAR radio, with RS-232, USB and keyboard wedge host interfaces in one unit. Datalogic lists it as "BC9030 Base Station/Charger, 433 MHz, Multi-Interface (RS-232, USB and KBD Wedge)".

STAR is Datalogic's narrow-band radio system: it does not interfere with Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, reaches around 100 m in open air and lets up to 16 readers work with one base, which suits warehouses, production lines and goods-in areas.

Before you order: The base only works with 433 MHz STAR scanners (current Datalogic list: PowerScan PM9501-DPM433RB and PM9501-DDPM433RB). 910 MHz and Bluetooth PowerScan versions are not compatible. The host interface cable and power supply are not included.

Will it work with my PowerScan PM9500 910 MHz scanner?
No. The frequency must match: this is the 433 MHz base, for 433 MHz STAR scanners only.
Is a USB cable included?
No. Order the Datalogic interface cable for your host: CAB-438 for USB, CAB-433 or CAB-434 for RS-232.
Do I need a power supply?
The base can run from the host port at 5 V, but for full-speed charging Datalogic pairs it with an external 12 V power adapter.
