Kingston FURY Beast RGB 32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-5200 CL40-40-40
32GB (2×16GB)DDR5-5200CL40-40-40 · 1.25VIntel XMP 3.0
Kingston FURY Beast RGB 32GB (2×16GB) (KF552C40BWAK2-32) is a DDR5-5200 CL40-40-40 desktop memory kit for gaming and creator PCs built on DDR5 motherboards.
Its Intel XMP 3.0 profile sets 5200 MT/s at 1.25V; Kingston lists it for Intel DDR5 desktop motherboards (XMP 3.0). Without the profile it boots at the JEDEC default of 4800 MT/s CL40-39-39 at 1.1V.
Before you order: Kingston lists this kit for Intel DDR5 desktop motherboards (XMP 3.0) with an Intel XMP 3.0 profile only — there is no AMD EXPO profile. On an AMD AM5 board it will run at the JEDEC default, but 5200 MT/s is not guaranteed; for AM5 choose an EXPO kit.
What's in the Box
- 2 × 16GB DDR5 DIMM 288-pin modules — a matched kit, tested together
- Retail packaging from Kingston
- No cables needed — RGB is powered from the memory slot; Kingston FURY CTRL is a free download
What It Means in Practice
- Dual-channel 32GB (one module per channel): comfortable for current games, heavy browser multitasking and photo editing; 64GB or more suits large video timelines, VMs and CAD.
- Out of the box it runs at 4800 MT/s CL40-39-39 at 1.1V. Enable XMP in the BIOS (also labelled DOCP or A-XMP on some boards) to reach 5200 MT/s.
- Module height 42.23 mm — check clearance if a large dual-tower air cooler overhangs the RAM slots.
- Filling all four slots on a DDR5 board usually forces lower speeds — for more capacity later, a larger 2-module kit is the safer upgrade.
What Will Not Work
- DDR4 or DDR3 motherboards — DDR5 modules are keyed differently and physically do not fit.
- Laptops and mini PCs that use SO-DIMM slots.
- Servers and workstations that need registered (RDIMM) or ECC memory — this is unbuffered, non-ECC memory (DDR5 on-die ECC is internal to the chips and is not system ECC).
- AMD EXPO — there is no EXPO profile on this kit.
- Mixing with another kit, even of the same model — Kingston sells kits as matched sets.
Key Features
18 RGB effects
Customisable lighting through Kingston FURY CTRL or your motherboard maker's RGB software.
Infrared Sync
Kingston's patented Infrared Sync keeps the RGB effects of all modules in step.
Tested at speed
Every module is 100% tested at its rated speed; on-die ECC and a programmable PMIC are part of the DDR5 design.

Frequently Asked Questions
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
DDR5-5200 CL40-40-40 in a 32GB (2×16GB) kit — a balanced speed that current DDR5 platforms run reliably. Best on Intel; for AMD AM5 pick an EXPO kit. Browse our DDR5 memory range for other capacities and speeds.
✓ Buy it if you have a DDR5 Intel desktop and want 32GB at 5200 MT/s with RGB lighting.
✕ Skip it if you are building on AMD AM5, your board is DDR4, you need ECC/registered memory, or you plan to fill four slots.
→ Also consider a 2×32GB kit if you edit video or run VMs; an AMD EXPO kit for AM5 builds.
Not sure it fits? Send us your motherboard model and we will check compatibility and the QVL before you order.
