Dell EcoLoop Pro Slim Backpack 15 — CP5724S
Slim profile100% recycled exteriorTrolley pass-through0.59 kgBlack
The Dell EcoLoop Pro Slim Backpack 15 is a low-profile business backpack built around a fully recycled exterior fabric. Dell states the outer shell is 100% recycled plastic, equivalent to roughly twelve bottles, and that the yarn is solution-dyed — a process Dell credits with up to 97% lower greenhouse gas emissions than conventional dyeing.
Compatibility — check before buying:
Dell publishes conflicting figures on the same page: the screen size is given as both 15.6" and 16", and the maximum device size appears as 400 x 270 x 25 mm in the datasheet, 402 x 274 x 28 mm on dell.com and "40 x 27 x 2.5 cm" elsewhere. All three are reproduced in the specifications below. If your laptop is close to that limit, measure it first. Note also that Dell has renamed this product on dell.com to "Dell Pro 14-16 Inch Plus EcoLoop Slim Laptop Backpack" — it is the same reference.
Best For
✓ Daily commuting with a 15–16" business laptop
✓ Travellers who slide the bag onto a suitcase handle
✓ Buyers with a corporate sustainability policy
✓ Anyone who wants a slim backpack rather than a bulky one
Key Features
100% recycled exterior
Dell states the exterior is made entirely from recycled plastic — approximately twelve bottles per bag — in a 600D construction.
Solution-dyed yarn
Colour is added to the yarn during production rather than in a separate dye bath. Dell credits the process with up to 97% lower greenhouse gas emissions.
Padded laptop and tablet pockets
A protected laptop compartment plus a separate padded tablet pocket keep the two devices apart in transit.
Trolley pass-through
A rear sleeve slides over a suitcase handle so the backpack rides on the luggage rather than on your shoulder.
Two expandable mesh side pockets
Both side pockets stretch to hold a water bottle or an umbrella and lie flat when empty.
Reflective accents
Reflective detailing on the exterior improves visibility when you are walking or cycling in low light.

Singular Expert Insight
Dell has done the sustainability work properly here — 100% recycled exterior and solution-dyed yarn are both meaningful, documented claims rather than vague "eco" language. The weak point is Dell’s own data hygiene: two screen sizes and three maximum device dimensions on the same page. Treat 400 x 270 x 25 mm as the working limit and you will not be caught out.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
Slim vs roomy,This is the slim EcoLoop Pro. If you carry more than a laptop, charger and a folder, look at the standard-depth EcoLoop backpacks.,Travel,The trolley pass-through and 0.59 kg empty weight are what make it work as a second bag on a flight.,Sustainability policy,100% recycled exterior with a published bottle count is the kind of claim a procurement team can actually cite.
Skip it if
If your laptop is at or above 400 x 270 x 25 mm, Dell’s conflicting size data makes this a risky fit — check the dimensions before ordering.
