Dell Pro Plus Compact Mouse MS5120W — Black
2.4 GHz dongle + Bluetooth 5.01000 / 1600 / 2400 / 4000 DPI7 buttons, 5 programmable36 months on 1× AA
The Dell MS5120W in Black (Dell order code 570-ABHO, part P0R42) — sold by Dell as the Pro Plus Compact Mouse, formerly the Mobile Pro Wireless Mouse — is a compact seven-button mouse that connects over the included 2.4 GHz USB dongle or Bluetooth 5.0 with Swift Pair, switching between them with a button. Dell publishes four DPI levels from 1000 to 4000, five programmable buttons in Dell Peripheral Manager, and up to 36 months from the single AA battery in the box, all backed by a 3-year Advanced Exchange warranty.
Compatibility — check before buying:
One connection on the dongle and one over Bluetooth, switched by the connection-mode button; Dell does not publish a three-device selector. The dongle is USB-A; USB-C-only laptops pair over Bluetooth or use an adapter. DPI and button programming run in Dell Peripheral Manager on Windows; other systems keep the 1600 DPI default. Side buttons sit on the left, so it is a right-handed layout. Dell’s datasheet and user guide differ on weight (73.7 g vs 79 g without battery). The other colour of this mouse is a separate Dell order code.

Singular Expert Insight
The MS5120W is the seven-button step up from the MS3320W in our wireless mice and, with a 36-month battery and Dell’s 3-year exchange cover, the sensible pick for Dell fleets that want programmable shortcuts without charging. The rechargeable, three-device Dell MS7421W is the premium alternative; the HP 685 is the full-size rival with a shorter term. On a USB-C laptop pair over Bluetooth or add one of our docking stations.
