Dell Pro Plus Wired ANC Headset WH5024 — USB-C On-Ear Headset with Active Noise Cancellation
Noise cancelling in both directions40 mm driversThree AI beamforming microphonesTeams and Zoom certified
The Dell Pro Plus Wired ANC Headset WH5024 cancels noise twice over: active noise cancellation on the ear cups so the office quietens for you, and a separate AI up-link noise cancellation layer so your caller hears your voice without the room behind it. Three microphones form a beamforming array, the drivers are a generous 40 mm, and the whole thing runs off a single USB-C cable with no battery to manage. Dell publishes this article as order code 520-BBGQ in the UK and EMEA.
Compatibility — check before buying:
This is a USB-C headset and Dell publishes no 3.5 mm option, so it will not reach a desk phone headset port or a phone socket. A USB-A adapter is in the box, so an older desktop is covered. Two naming points worth knowing before you order: the string WH5024-DWW is a channel part string that Dell itself does not publish — on Dell’s own storefront the same product is order code 520-BBGQ. And one letter separates this from the WL5024, which is the wireless version with a Bluetooth dongle and a battery; if you searched for 5024 and want the cordless one, tell us. The Teams key and the ANC modes behave fully on Windows with Dell Peripheral Manager installed.
Best For
✓ Open-plan offices and shared desks
✓ All-day calls with no battery to manage
✓ Microsoft Teams and Zoom deployments
✓ Dell fleet rollouts that want a matched accessory
✓ Staff who want both ears covered and larger drivers
✓ Home offices where the room is not quiet
Key Features
Noise cancelling in both directions
Active noise cancellation on the ear cups for you, and a separate AI Up-Link Noise Cancellation layer that strips the room out of what your caller hears. Most headsets at this level do only the second.
40 mm drivers
Larger than the 28 to 32 mm drivers used across most office headsets, covering 20 Hz to 20 kHz, which makes the same headset reasonable for focus listening between meetings.
Three microphones with AI beamforming
A uni-directional three-microphone array covering 100 Hz to 14 kHz, wider than the usual 6.8 kHz call band, so consonants survive the trip.
Everything on the in-line controller
Mute with its own indicator, volume up and down, answer and end, a Microsoft Teams key and a switch for the ANC modes, on a 2.0 metre cable measured including the controller.

Singular Expert Insight
Two things make the WH5024 stand out among wired office headsets. The first is that the noise cancelling genuinely runs in both directions — plenty of competitors advertise noise cancellation and mean the microphone. The second is the 40 mm driver, which is larger than almost anything else in this class and is why the headset does not feel like a call-only device. Against that, it is USB-only with no analogue fallback, so it has to be a computer headset and nothing else. Compare it with the rest of Office & VoIP Headsets, or see Headphones if listening matters as much as talking.
Buyer’s Guide
Buy it if
You want active noise cancellation without a battery to charge. You run Microsoft Teams or Zoom. You want larger drivers than a typical call headset offers, and a three-year manufacturer term behind it.
Skip it if
You need to leave the desk during calls — the WL5024 is the wireless sibling. You need a 3.5 mm or desk-phone connection. You will not install Dell Peripheral Manager and want full Teams key behaviour anyway.
