Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 — Core Ultra 7 265, 32GB, 1TB, RTX A1000
RTX A1000 8GBCore Ultra 7 26532GB DDR5Micro workstation
The Dell Pro Max Micro (model FCM2250, G69HK) is a micro-size workstation with an Intel Core Ultra 7 265, 32GB of DDR5, a 1TB NVMe SSD and an NVIDIA RTX A1000 8GB professional graphics card, for CAD, BIM and engineering users who need professional graphics in a box about the size of a hardback book.
It is built on Intel's W880 workstation chipset with Windows 11 Pro, discrete TPM 2.0, chassis intrusion detection and Dell SafeBIOS. Between the three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs on the motherboard and the four mini DisplayPort outputs on the RTX A1000, it can drive a large multi-monitor desk.
Before you order: The 32GB is a single SODIMM, so memory runs single-channel until a second module is added. Dell does not list a keyboard, mouse or Wi-Fi card for this configuration — ask us if you need them.
What's in the Box
- Dell Pro Max Micro FCM2250 with NVIDIA RTX A1000 8GB installed
- External Dell AC power adapter and power cord
- Dell documentation
- Keyboard, mouse and Wi-Fi are not listed for this configuration — ask us
What It Means in Practice
- The 20-core Core Ultra 7 265 runs at 65W in this chassis, so you get full desktop CPU performance in a micro form factor.
- The NVIDIA RTX A1000 (8GB GDDR6, 50W) is an entry professional RTX card for 2D/3D CAD, BIM viewing and multi-monitor work.
- Adding a second 32GB SODIMM gives dual-channel memory; Dell's manual lists 64GB (2x 32GB) as the maximum.
- A second M.2 slot (2230 or 2280, PCIe Gen4) is available for more storage; matching pairs can run in RAID 0/1.
- Front 20Gbps USB-C and two 10Gbps USB-A ports keep fast connections within reach.
What Will Not Work
- Only half-height (low-profile) PCIe cards fit — no full-height GPU upgrades.
- No 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drive bays; storage is M.2 only (two slots).
- The RTX A1000 is not meant for heavy GPU rendering or AI training.
- HDMI, USB-C video or Thunderbolt need Dell's optional rear module, which this configuration does not list.
- No Wi-Fi is listed for this configuration — use Ethernet or ask us for a Wi-Fi module.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the RTX A1000 good for AutoCAD, Revit or SOLIDWORKS?
It is NVIDIA's entry professional RTX card, suited to 2D and moderate 3D work and multi-monitor setups. For large assemblies or rendering, a tower such as the Dell Pro Precision 7 T1 with a bigger GPU is the better base.
How many monitors can it drive?
Up to four on the RTX A1000's mini DisplayPort outputs, plus three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs from the integrated graphics.
Can I upgrade the memory?
Yes. Add a second SODIMM for dual-channel; Dell's owner's manual lists 64GB (2x 32GB) as the maximum.
