The Dell SA224 (Dell part 750-BBKR) is a USB-C to RJ45 network adapter that supports 10/100/1000 Mbps and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet using a Realtek RTL8156-Bx controller. It adds a fast wired connection to thin laptops without an Ethernet port, and supports UEFI PXE boot, MAC address pass-through and Wake-on-LAN for managed corporate fleets.
Compatibility Note: PXE boot, MAC address pass-through and Wake-on-LAN depend on laptop BIOS support (mainly Dell commercial systems). 2.5 Gbps speed also needs a 2.5GbE-capable switch or router port.

Yes, as a standard USB-C Ethernet adapter on Windows 10/11. The management features — PXE boot, MAC pass-through and Wake-on-LAN — are mainly supported on Dell commercial laptops.
Will I get 2.5 Gbps on a normal Gigabit network?
No, the adapter links at the speed of the switch port. On a Gigabit switch it runs at 1 Gbps; 2.5 Gbps needs a 2.5GbE switch, router or NAS port.
Does it work on macOS?
Dell lists Windows 10 and 11 only. Realtek RTL8156-based adapters often work on other systems, but Dell does not support or test them.
