Delock Audio Panel-Mount Cable — 3.5 mm Female (M6) > 3.5 mm Male, 1 m
3.5 mm stereoPanel-mountM6 nut · 7 mm hole1 m
The Delock 3.5 mm panel-mount audio cable extends a stereo headphone or line port by 1 m and ends in a female 3.5 mm jack with a thread and screw nut, so you can mount the socket in a panel, an enclosure, a desk or a PC case front. The other end is a standard 3.5 mm stereo jack male.
The female end uses an M6 thread and needs a mounting hole of about 7 mm diameter. It is a 3-pin (stereo, TRS) cable with 28 AWG conductors, about 4 mm in diameter, colour black — useful for kiosks, custom cases, studio desks and equipment racks where the original port is hard to reach.
Before you order: This is a 3-pin stereo (TRS) cable. Headset plugs with an integrated microphone (4-pin TRRS) will play audio but the microphone will not be passed through.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Delock audio panel-mount cable, 3.5 mm female > 3.5 mm male, 1 m
- 1 × nut
- Supplied in a zip poly bag
What It Means in Practice
- Drill a 7 mm hole, push the female jack through and fix it with the supplied nut.
- Plug the male end into the device's headphone or line output (or input) inside the case or behind the desk.
- Good for building an accessible headphone socket on a desk, a kiosk or an equipment front panel.
- Over 1 m of thin cable, line and headphone signals are unaffected for normal listening.
What Will Not Work
- It will not pass a headset microphone (TRRS 4-pin) — stereo audio only.
- It is not suitable for balanced XLR or 6.35 mm studio connections.
- It does not amplify the signal.
- The thread is M6 — it will not fit panels with smaller holes without drilling.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it for a headset with a microphone?
Only for the audio part. It is a 3-pin stereo cable, so the microphone contact of a 4-pin headset plug is not connected.
How thick can the panel be?
Delock does not publish the maximum panel thickness. For thin metal and plastic panels it is fine; for thick wood, ask us first.
Does it work as a normal extension cable too?
Yes. Without mounting, it is simply a 1 m 3.5 mm stereo extension.
Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A panel-mount audio cable is a small part that makes a custom installation look finished: the headphone socket ends up exactly where people need it. Check stereo vs. headset (TRRS) and drill the right hole. For PC audio upgrades, see our
PC components range.
✓ Buy it if you want a fixed 3.5 mm stereo socket on a desk, panel, kiosk or case front, 1 m from the device.
✕ Skip it if you need headset microphone pass-through or balanced studio connections.
→ Also consider a USB sound card with front jacks if your PC has no accessible audio port.
