The Delock 20648 is a USB Port Blocker set that secures USB Type-A female ports against unauthorised access. You plug a white blocker into a free USB-A port and the port is locked: a cable or USB stick can no longer be connected. To remove a blocker, you use the lock tool from the set — there are two in the box, together with five blockers and a user manual. In practice it closes spare USB ports on reception PCs, classroom and lab computers, kiosks and point-of-sale terminals, so data cannot be copied to a stick and unknown devices stay out.

Compatibility — check before buying:
It fits standard USB Type-A female ports only — not USB-C, Micro-USB or network ports. The blockers can be removed only with the Delock lock tool; two are included, so keep them with IT. Refills come as 20962 (10 blockers) and 20963 (50 blockers) — Delock lists them “for Delock item 20648” and they contain no tool, so you need this set first. Delock does not publish a fit for ports recessed deep inside a case; if in doubt, send us the device model and we check it.

How are the blockers removed?
With the Delock lock tool. Two tools are included in the set; keep one with IT as a spare, because without a tool the blockers are meant to stay in place.
Does it fit USB-C ports?
No. It is made for USB Type-A female ports only. Ask us for a USB-C port blocker if your devices use USB-C.
Can I buy more blockers later?
Yes. Delock sells refills of 10 (20962) and 50 (20963) blockers for this set. They contain no tool, so you use the tools from the 20648.
Do they fit USB 3.x ports?
USB 3.x Type-A ports have the same shape as USB 2.0, so the blockers fit the connector. Delock does not publish a fit for deeply recessed ports — send us the model if in doubt.
