Delock DisplayPort 1.2 Extension Cable — Male to Female, 4K 60 Hz, 3 m
DisplayPort 1.24K @ 60 HzMale ↔ female3 m
The Delock DisplayPort 1.2 extension cable has a DisplayPort plug on one end and a DisplayPort socket on the other, so it lengthens an existing DP cable by 3 m. It carries video and audio with up to 21.6 Gbps, enough for resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz (depending on the system and connected hardware).
The cable is triple shielded with copper conductors (28 AWG, about 7.3 mm thick) and gold-plated contacts. Pin 20 is connected (3.3 V), which some adapters and active devices rely on. It comes in a retail box.
Before you order: An extension adds length to a cable that already works. For the best result at 4K 60 Hz, keep the total length short; a single DP cable of the right length is usually more reliable than cable + extension.
What's in the Box
- 1 × Delock DisplayPort 1.2 extension cable, male > female, 3 m, black
- Supplied in a retail box
What It Means in Practice
- Plug your existing monitor's DP cable into the female end, and the male end into the PC or graphics card.
- Useful when a monitor arm, a desk move or a projector position leaves the original cable too short.
- Pin 20 being connected means DP-powered adapters (for example some DP to HDMI or VGA adapters) can draw 3.3 V through it.
- For 4K 144 Hz, 5K or 8K, use a DisplayPort 1.4 or 2.x cable instead.
What Will Not Work
- It will not connect to Mini DisplayPort or USB-C ports without an adapter.
- It does not convert DisplayPort to HDMI.
- It is not a DisplayPort 1.4 / 2.x cable — no 4K 144 Hz or 8K.
- It does not boost the signal for very long runs.

Singular Expert Insight · Buyer's Guide
A DisplayPort extension is the quick fix when a monitor cable is just too short. Keep it to one extension, stay within DisplayPort 1.2 limits, and for high-refresh 4K gaming monitors choose a DP 1.4 cable instead. Find matching screens in our PC monitors range.
✓ Buy it if your DisplayPort cable is too short and you run up to 4K at 60 Hz.
✕ Skip it if you need 4K above 60 Hz, 5K/8K, or Mini DP/USB-C connectors.
→ Also consider a single DisplayPort 1.4 cable in the full length you need.
Not sure your monitor and graphics card will work with it? Send us both models and we will check before you order.
