Delock Heat Shrink Tube with Non-Slip X-Pattern, 40 mm Diameter, 1 m, 2:1 Shrink Ratio, Polyolefin, Black

The Delock Heat Shrink Tube with a non-slip X-pattern turns a smooth handle into a grippy one. It is a 1 m length of black polyolefin tube, 40 mm in diameter, that shrinks to half its diameter (2:1) when heated to 70 – 125 °C and then tightly encloses the handle.

Delock suggests it for tools, fitness equipment, tennis rackets and fishing rods — anything that needs a firm, weather-resistant grip. The shrunk tube also protects the handle surface from wear and mechanical damage.

• Cut the tube to the length of the grip, slide it over the handle, and heat it evenly with a hot air gun until it lies tight.
• Work from the middle outwards to avoid trapped air bubbles.
• One metre is enough for several handles — for example both grips of a bike-style bar or several tool handles.
• The polyolefin surface resists weather, so it suits garden tools and outdoor equipment.

• It will not shrink properly with a lighter or hair dryer — use a hot air gun.
• It is not an electrical insulation product for live conductors at this size; it is designed as a grip.
• It cannot be reused once shrunk.
• It will not fit handles thicker than 40 mm.
