The DICOTA D50030-2AD is a 2-way privacy filter for 17.3-inch laptop screens with a 16:9 aspect ratio: anyone looking from the left or right beyond roughly 30 degrees sees a darkened screen, while you see the image normally from the front. It suits people who work on trains, in airports, in open-plan offices or at reception desks where customer data, emails or financial figures are on screen.
This is the adhesive version. A self-adhesive silicone layer holds the filter flat on the display without bubbles, and DICOTA states that it can be removed without leaving residue. It is designed to stay on the screen, which makes it the tidier choice when privacy is needed every working day.
Besides privacy, the surface is anti-glare and DICOTA states up to 42% blue-light reduction, so the filter also cuts reflections from windows and overhead lighting during long sessions.
Before you order: DICOTA universal filters are sized by visible screen diagonal and aspect ratio. This filter measures 383.0 × 215.0 mm for 17.3" 16:9 screens. Measure the visible display area (not the outer lid) and check the aspect ratio of your laptop: a 17.3" screen with 16:10 proportions will not be covered correctly.

What Will Not Work
- Privacy from above or below: this is a 2-way filter. For vertical privacy as well, a 4-way filter is needed.

- Frequent on/off use: the adhesive version is meant to stay on the screen. If you want to remove it several times a day, a side-mounted version is the better fit.
