The DICOTA D50018-2SM is a universal 2-way privacy filter for 15.6 inch laptops with a 16:9 screen that blacks out the display for people sitting to your left or right, so mobile workers and open-office staff can keep confidential information on screen. It mounts with small side holders, slides in and out in seconds, and also cuts glare and up to 42% of blue light.
Universal means it is not tied to a laptop brand: what matters is the screen size and aspect ratio. Measure your screen, or send us the model, before ordering.
Before you order: This filter is for 15.6 inch 16:9 screens only. Many newer 15.6 and 16 inch laptops use 16:10; for 15.6 inch 16:10 choose DICOTA D32009 instead.

What It Means in Practice
- Beyond about 30 degrees to either side the screen looks dark; the user in front sees the full image.
- The small holders stay on the bezel, so the filter slides out when you want to share the screen and back in afterwards.
- Matte anti-glare surface helps under office lights and near windows.
- Touchscreen laptops still respond to touch with the filter fitted.
What Will Not Work
- 15.6 inch 16:10 or 3:2 screens: the shape will not match.
- Privacy from above or below: this is a 2-way (left/right) filter.
- Laptops with almost no bezel around the screen may leave little room for the side holders.
- Expect a slightly darker picture: DICOTA states up to 75% light transmission.
