The DICOTA D50024-2SM is a 2-way privacy filter for 16-inch laptop screens with a 16:10 aspect ratio: anyone looking from the left or right beyond roughly 30 degrees sees a darkened screen, while you see the image normally from the front. It suits people who work on trains, in airports, in open-plan offices or at reception desks where customer data, emails or financial figures are on screen.
This is the side-mounted version. Small holders, fixed to the display bezel with adhesive dots, keep the filter in place at the edges, so you can slide the filter out when you are alone or presenting, and put it back in seconds without touching the screen surface.
Besides privacy, the surface is anti-glare and DICOTA states up to 42% blue-light reduction, so the filter also cuts reflections from windows and overhead lighting during long sessions.
Before you order: DICOTA universal filters are sized by visible screen diagonal and aspect ratio. This filter measures 344.5 × 215.6 mm for 16" 16:10 screens. Measure the visible display area (not the outer lid) and check the aspect ratio of your laptop: a 16" screen with 16:9 proportions will not be covered correctly.

What Will Not Work
- Privacy from above or below: this is a 2-way filter. For vertical privacy as well, a 4-way filter is needed.
- Screens with a size or aspect ratio other than 16" 16:10: the filter will either leave a strip uncovered or overlap the bezel.
- Laptops with no flat bezel area for the holders, such as edge-to-edge glass without a frame margin.
- Protection from someone standing directly behind you.
